SCENE: Bon Goût Music presents Aya Fest (18-19 Nov)

No plans for the weekend? Even if you do, head down to HERO’s at Circular Road for Aya Fest!

Aya Fest is a 2-day music festival organised by Bon Goût Music, an organisation offering music event/tour programming and consultations, managed by Japanese jazz pianist Aya Sekine who has been integral in the local music scene with her slew of programmes at Blu Jaz Cafe in Kampong Gelam.

The festival named after Aya’s own name, aims to celebrate the milestone of her venture of connecting Singapore and Japan’s independent music scenes since 2012, to develop a larger community across the border.

Two of Singapore’s alternative acts Wicked Aura and sub:shaman, will be sharing the stage with two highly profiled Japanese indie bands – 23-year-old garage metal band Electric Eel Shock and Music From The Mars.

Aya will also be performing during the festival together Tim De Cotta & JR Teo, who are the original members of L.A.B (Listen And Believe) which is currently lead by Michaela Therese and Aya.
