ATMOS interviewed Heals, a shoegaze outfit from Bandung, Indonesia last year before their maiden appearance in Singapore for Rocking The Region organised by the Esplanade team. Their debut album ‘Spectrum’ released by FFWD Records received wide reviews regionally for their hazy aesthetic.
Fast forward a year later, Heals is heading to Singapore again. But this time they are to perform at the internationally acclaimed festival, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival at The Meadow, Gardens By The Bay.
“For us, Laneway is one of the biggest music festival in Southeast Asia as well as Australia. We even made some hard decisions by cancelling some of our plans for this festival.” said Alyuadi, the vocalist of the band.
Performing alongside internationally known bands such as Wolf Alice, Slowdive, Father John Misty, Amy Shark and Mac Demarco, Heals will be the third Indonesian act to perform in the festival (after Stars & Rabbit and Bottlesmoker).
Laneway Festival 2018 will be held in The Meadow Gardens by The Bay, Singapore on January 27th, 2018. For more information, head to the festival’s official website at http://singapore.lanewayfestival.com/.
